Looking back.

Joan at Charleston Daily Photo posted a vintage postcard of the Market a while back and it made me wonder what things in my neck of the woods looked like way back when. The closest landmark is obviously Hampton Park:



How dreamy! I wish I knew what year it was from.

I believe that card is ca. 1915. My wife and I just bought a house across Rutledge from Hampton Park on Maverick Street... we're collecting as many of these vintage postcards as we can and framing them as wall art.

For between $3-10 each, they're relatively inexpensive and make attractive little time machines!
