Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Chandler and I moved into our new house this weekend and boy is it great (pictures to come). After the stress of unpacking boxes, figuring out what mirror looks best in which room, we are now starting to relax and really enjoy our new space.

Tonight, after (hopefully) finishing the organizational process of my closet, I am going to crack open a beer and watch the lunar eclipse on my porch.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. A total eclipse. For those of us in Charleston, SC, we'll be seeing the middle of the eclipse around 10:26pm.

For those of you in other parts of the world, go here to figure out when it's most visible to you.

My day is now complete.

Which Jane Austen Character Are You?

You are Eliza Bennett from Pride and Prejudice! Yay, you! Perhaps the brightest and best character in all of English literature, you are intelligent, lively, lovely-- in short, you are the best of company. Your only foibles are that you stick with your first impressions... and your family is quite intolerable.

Themed Movie-viewing

My last two movies from Netflix were:

and

Once I started watching the second one, I realzed a theme: 2 Days in Paris dealt with the relationship between a French woman and an American man, while Broken English dealt with an American woman and a French man.

These movies were both great, in my opinion. I love the way language serves as a third character in these films--the miscommunication and all that stems from it.

Great movies. Watch them.

A Little Saturday Romance...

This is what Glen Hansard said about this song:

This song is about going to a party with your girlfriend, and she goes off to go to the toilet or get a drink, and you're standing there on your own, and you look across the room and you see this girl that you utterly fancy and it's not mental--it's physical--you're like [sharp intake of breath] and then you realize that it's your girlfriend and it's like "cha-ching!" She comes back over and you have second thoughts about explaining to her what just happened, but you think, "I'm taking her home tonight!"
