I was staring at all these gorgeous pictures of Erin O'Connor's amazing short hair, but then I stumbled upon the only long hair inspiration I need.

...I felt a surge of jealousy for her short hair, as well as being completely awed by how perfect this photo is.

I will grow my hair out, I will grow my hair out.

Oh Mia, oh my.

I've been trying to resist temptation and stick to my goal of growing my hair out. Then Mia Wasikowska goes and gets a pixie cut. Sigh...

Looking at the picture of Zooey Deschanel from yesterday's post reminds me of one of my great personal failures: growing out my hair. I always start out with the best intentions, but after a few months I can't bear my awkward, in-between-stages hair, so I chop it all off.

If I did have the patience to grow the mane of my dreams, I'd go for long hair with bangs, like so:

Jane Birkin got it right.

So did her daughter, Charlotte Gainsbourg.

So did her other daughter, Lou Doillon.

And so did Zooey.

Will I ever have the patience to attempt this look? Probably not, but it's nice to dream!
